Creating Beautiful, Edible Landscapes.

Based in beautiful Georgina, we happily service the GTA, York region and the surrounding area. Edible landscapes are the future of landscaping; Landscapes that give back to us with more than beauty. With abundance, connection and FOOD!

Are you..

Tired of spending money on flowers and lawn that produce nothing?

It’s simple. Monoculture lawns are more trouble than they are worth. If you want green space to play and sit, Alternative lawns are the way to go. Less money, water and fertilizer needed, same green. If you are feeling more adventurous the lawn can become a food forest.. Ask us how ;)

Looking for ways to reduce your grocery bill?

Growing your own food is like directly investing in your own health, while saving money. You can save hundreds or thousands of dollars each year with proper garden management. The nutrition, exercise and connection that comes with direct involvement in your property are all benefits. There is really no down side, and any amount of food growing will be good. The best tasting veggies come from your own yard for a fraction of the cost.

Wondering what to do about the climate crisis?

Healthy soil sequesters carbon beautifully, and creating biodiverse gardens support local ecosystems and species. Connecting to nature helps us understand our role and how we can use our hands and hearts to steer the future. Join the growing movement of people growing food with their landscapes!

Our Mission:

We help the people of The Greater Toronto Area and York Region grow food, connect to land, develop sustainable habits and better immune systems. We hope to further conversations around ecology, shifting climate, and food justice/security. We provide a practical way to help yourself and those around you move in a more balanced direction, one garden at a time. We endeavour to provide a path to stability, hope and self determination through slowing down and returning to our roots.. All the big problems out there seem more manageable with a healthy garden around.

We do not use synthetic chemicals and discourage monocultures of all kinds.

Meet Jeremy.

Cooper’s Foodscaping, based in Georgina township, in York Region was started in 2019 by Jeremy Cooper with the intention to bring the biodiversity and abundance of nature to your home or property. As a seasoned gardener, organic farmer, green roofer and landscaper, Jeremy has transformed dozens of yards into food forests, gardens, edible landscapes and helped many clients get the most out of their space. He is especially fond of permaculture, but uses a variety of techniques to work within nature’s patterns.

Cooper’s Foodscaping promises people a chance to grow their own delicious and nutritious food from their own beautiful yards! Minimal effort and plenty of hyper-local and organic food!

Focusing on edible, Native and non-invasive species.

Our Maintenance Packages:

Our operating season for maintenance begins in April and runs until October. Weather permitting, we offer initial and follow up visits in March and November. These are some of our offerings, but if you don’t see one that suits you, we are happy to discuss your needs. Raised bed, arbour or trellis, stone patio and machine work are not included. All gardens are unique in their needs and all people in what they want from their gardens so we pride ourselves on our flexibility and adaptability. We are focused on creating and maintaining edible landscapes, mixing perennial fruits and vegetables into traditional landscapes and creating spaces for growing annual fruits and veg.

“Jeremy has worked with me on installing 3 of my urban Permaculture food forest projects for the past 3 years and has done an excellent job managing the execution of the project with good attention to detail and in an efficient way. He has learned a good deal about installation and maintenance of permaculture systems. My clients have been very happy with his professionalism and performance. I would highly recommend him for any project.”
